Red Lentil Coated Pumpkin Flower Fry
Ingredients: Male Pumpkin Flower 6, Red Lentil 100g, Dry Rice 2tbs, green chilli 2, black pepper corn 6 to 8, Cumin and Corriender powder 1 tsp, Black Cumin seed 1 tap, Salt to taste, 4 tbs oil to fry.
Process: Soak Red Lentil and Dry Rice in water separately at least for 2 hours. Once they soaked drain the water and take rice in a grinder and grind this without water, then add soaked Red Lentil, Black pepper corn, green chilli in the grinder along with grinded rice and grind them to make a allmost fine mixture. Transfer this to mixing bowl add 2 to 3 tbs water to this if needed, actually we need thick batter, add salt to taste, cumin and Corriender powder, black cumin seed , mix them well and keep the Batter aside.
Now with the help of a knife remove the Stamen part and stalk of the flower ( the the enitire petal, don't chopped the petal, keep them whole), wash them in running water and check carefully, if there is any insect or anything inside petals.
Now put the flowers on Lantil rice batter and cover the flower with the batter well.
Now take pan and add oil to this, heat the pan once the smoke released bring the flame to medium low. Now shallow fry batter coated flowers for 2 to 3 minutes each side in medium low flame.
Your Lentil Coated Pumpkin Flower Fry is ready to serve, it's crispy and crunchy. This can be used as starter or could be taken as snaks.
